VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS WRAPS UP THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2024
Vice President Kamala Harris wrapped up the first quarter of 2024 – and it was nonstop action. In the first three months of the year, the Vice President:

Visited 16 states with multiple trips to several states

Made 30 trips including to Munich and communities throughout America

Conducted more than 36 interviews with a range of broadcast, print, and digital outlets
JANUARY: VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS KICKED-OFF 2024 WITH TRIPS TO WISCONSIN AND CALIFORNIA
Vice President Harris kicked-off 2024 with over 11 trips in the month of January. The Vice President launched her nationwide “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms” Tour in January, with the first stop in Waukesha County, WI and the second stop in San Jose, CA.

VP Harris Delivered Keynote Address to Celebrate MLK Day
The month also included a major trip to Columbia, SC, where the Vice President delivered the keynote address at the NAACP South Carolina State Conference’s King Day at the Dome to celebrate MLK Day.

VP Harris Sat Down for an Interview with The View and Hosted a Lunar New Year Celebration
Vice President Harris also sat down with the six co-hosts of ABC’s The View on Wednesday morning for a wide-ranging conversation that aired across the country. During the live interview, she continued her leadership on the fight for reproductive freedom, responded to attacks on teaching America’s full history, and answered questions on a range of topics–from the economy and immigration to the Israel-Hamas conflict. In addition to The View conversation, Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff hosted a Lunar New Year celebration at their residence.

FEBRUARY: VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS CONTINUED HER REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOMS TOUR
Vice President Harris followed an eventful January with over 7 trips in February, which included two stops for her Reproductive Freedoms Tour. After beginning the tour in Wisconsin and California, the Vice President continued with stops in Savannah, GA on February 6th and Grand Rapids, MI on February 22nd.

VP Harris Traveled to Germany to for the Munich Security Conference
The Vice President also traveled internationally and delivered remarks at the Munich Security Conference where she provided a forceful defense of the Biden-Harris Administration’s worldview and approach to national security, including the importance of fulfilling the U.S. role of global leadership. She made the case for how the Biden-Harris Administration’s approach has delivered results over the past three years, alongside our allies and partners, with a particular focus on support for Ukraine and a strong, united NATO.

VP Harris Announced Funding for Clean Water Infrastructure in Pennsylvania
The Vice President traveled to Pittsburgh, PA to announce $5.8 billion in funding for clean water infrastructure that will help remove lead pipes and ensure more families gain access to clean, safe drinking water. She also convened a voting rights roundtable with community leaders.

VP Harris Celebrates Black History Month
On February 6th, the Vice President and Second Gentleman joined the President and First Lady to welcome civil rights leaders, business leaders, educators, and artists to the White House to celebrate Black History Month. On February 29th, Vice President Harris hosted a Black History Month Reception at her residence, honoring HBCU student leaders.

MARCH: VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS MADE HISTORY ON HER REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOMS TOUR STOP IN MINNESOTA
The Vice President had 11 trips in March, including two stops for her Reproductive Freedoms Tour. The Vice President traveled to Phoenix, AZ on March 8th and made a historic visit to an abortion clinic in Minnesota on March 14th, the first such visit of any sitting President or Vice President.

VP Harris Visited Selma, AL to Commemorate the 59th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday
The Vice President Harris returned to Selma, AL to speak at a commemoration of the 59th anniversary of Bloody Sunday and march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. During her speech, she drew parallels between those who worked to stifle the Civil Rights Movement and the extremists who are currently attacking fundamental freedoms including the freedom to vote, the freedom to control one’s own body, the freedom to learn our full history, and the freedom to love who you love.

VP Harris Visited Puerto Rico to Support the Island’s Recovery and Renewal
Vice President Harris also traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico to uplift the Biden-Harris Administration’s ongoing commitment to supporting the island’s recovery and renewal, particularly energy resilience. The Vice President highlighted Puerto Rico’s economic turnaround thanks to more than $140 billion in Federal obligations for the island supported by unprecedented whole-of-government partnerships through the Puerto Rico Economic Dialogue.

VP Harris Traveled to Parkland, FL to Address the Gun Violence Epidemic
Vice President Harris visited Parkland, FL to continue her leadership on addressing the epidemic of gun violence and keeping communities safe. She met with families whose loved ones were murdered during the 2018 mass shooting that took the lives of 14 students and 3 staff members.
Following her conversations with family members, the Vice President delivered a statement to press where she highlighted the historic gun safety measures that the Biden-Harris Administration has enacted and announced the first-ever National Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) Resource Center, which will support the effective implementation of state red flag laws. The Vice President also called on states to pass red flag laws.

The Vice President finished the first quarter of 2024 with a Women’s History Month celebration at her residence, which honored women in sports.
